The seminar will be held within walking distance of the make717 Innovation Center, in a classroom on the branch campus of Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology. It will run from 7 to 8 pm, with 15 minutes for question and answer followed by a guided tour of the make717 Innovation Center.
Here is a preview of what Joe will be sharing:
According to the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), intellectual property is “ownership of a dream, an idea, an improvement, an emotion that we can touch, see, hear, and feel. It is an asset just like your home, your car, or your bank account.”
Intellectual property like real property can create wealth. Inventions, creations, and secrets have value because the laws governing intellectual property provide an edge over competitors. In the United States, intellectual property is broken down into patents, trademarks, copyrights, and trade secrets, with the patents being most alike to real property.
This is a free event sponsored by make717 and Barley Snyder. Space is limited so registration is required.
