This topic is a place to put links to or list places where makers can find useful or unique hand tools to accomplish things.
When you want a single combination wrench, adjustable wrench, screwdriver etc., you'll often be disappointed at the big box stores, Home Depot etc. They carry sets usually.
Paul Zimmerman's Hardware in Ephrata is a good place to find just the tools you want. They also carry good quality individual drill bits in fractional, letter and wire drill sizes, and National Thread and Metric taps and dies.
When you're looking for metal for your projects, try Frank Sahd recycling in Columbia. Lots of plate steel and aluminum. Also some vintage machine tools at scrap prices - I saw a surface grinder and a cast iron table saw (14" blade) on my last visit.
If you are interested in antique woodworking tools and occasional machine tools, I can recommend a visit to Joy's Antiques, 400 Nottingham Rd, Quarryville, PA 17566 (Little Britain township). They are closed in winter and open around mid April. The shop is worth a visit even if not interested in antique tools.
